Leaders arrive for G-7 summit in Hiroshima Japan .

Leaders of seven of the World’s most powerful democracies are gathering in Japan for the Group of seven summit .

The weekend meeting happening in Hiroshima, the location of the World’s first atomic attack at the end of World War II .

World leaders Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, The United Kingdom and The United State We’ll be looking for ways to punish Russia, possibly by improving enforcement of economic sactions against Moscow.

There’s also a desire to militarily, economically, and politically support Ukraine’s defense.

Another big focus will be Beijing’s escalating threats against Taiwan.

Japan has also invited the leaders of fellow US allies South Korea to the summit.

That’s a reflection of warming ties between the often wary neighbors as they find increasing common ground and worries over Threats from North Korea, Russia and China .
