Mogadishu, May 03, 2024 In a tragic incident, a senior officer of the Somali Police Force, Adan Omar Ahmed also known as ‘Adan Biit’, was reportedly shot by an unknown armed militants. Lieutenant Colonel Adan Biid, a veteran of the Somali Police, succumbed to his injuries after being attacked in Mogadishu on Friday afternoon.
According to local media sources, the assailants managed to escape following the shooting. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about security in Somali Capital.
The government of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has failed in the security of the city of Mogadishu as it has also lost its battles with the terrorist group al-Shabaab and has been defeated in the fight against what they call the Khawarij.
