Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs has sent a serious warning to the European diplomats in Somalia, after they made statements in Somaliland elections.
“Somaliland is not a country, it is a region of Somalia,” Fiqi said.
Fiqi said that he called the Danish ambassador to Somalia to talk about his political faux pas speech while in Hargeisa.
“Somalia is one country, regardless of our differences, we will not accept Foreign Ambassador interference and their hideb messages. Fiqi added.
“It should be considered that the SL election took place in a region of Somalia, and the differences should be resolved by Somalis,” Said Minister Fiqi.
Minister Fiqi’s statement , the courage to correct Western diplomats and protect the unity of the country, was supported by the majority of the Somali community.
