The Attorney General Suleiman Mohamud submitted a case against 18 officers to the Banadir regional court for various charges.
The charges against these officers include theft of public property, falsification of documents, corruption, misappropriation and diversion of public property, abuse of the title and government offices, and neglect of duty.
The accused include nine incarcerated accused and nine absconding accused.
The accused persons are officers who held the central government duties,
such as directors, heads of immigration and citizenship, licensing of foreigners, taxes, and other positions.
The prosecutor called on the court to postpone the hearing of the case against the defendants.
The list of accused members of the National Public Prosecution Service submitted their case to the Banadir Regional Court.
