9-year-old boy raped in Borama, Awdal region of Somaliland according to Journalist Nabil Ali Jawhar.
Awdal is portion of Somaliland, a secessionist entity of breakaway region from Somalia.
A suspected predator is currently in custody who raped and later cruelly chopped off a young boy and packaged his bloody remains into a carrier bag.
A victim child endured an unbearable pain lasting hours his name has not yet been revealed and thanks to witness courage who reported to police and helped bring his perpetrator to justice.
I would like to thank his family for their determination in Borama Police and Somaliland Detective Service for their support in bringing the perpetrator into custody,” Nabil Ali Jawhar added
35 percent of Awdal is inhabited by the marginalized Gadabuursi sub-clan of Dir.
45 percent is inhabited by Isse sub-clan of Dir and 20 others dominated by Habar Awal Sub-clan of Isaaq.
Habar Awal occupied the Awdal with help from Somaliland settlers, a large tribe of Isaaq one clan enclave.
