The Somali government has confirmed it will will choose which countries that will contribute troops to the upcoming AU stabilization mission known as AUSSOM. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said i Somalia will lead the mission’s direction “with a clear focus on sovereignty.”
Somalia said agreement that Ethiopia reached with Somaliland violates Somalia’s sovereignty.
