Uganda’s President, @KagutaMuseveni, has made a statement regarding the recent al-Shabaab attack on a #UPDF base in Bulo Marer on May 26. The President did not disclose the exact number of casualties. However, he revealed that approximately 800 al-Shabaab fighters were involved in the attack, and acknowledged that the Alshabab successfully overwhelmed the base.
Al-Shabaab has released photos that they claim are from the recent assault on the military base of @ATMIS_Somalia in Bulo Marer, asserting that they have killed 137 #UPDF soldiers and taken others as captives. However, the accuracy of these claims has not been independently confirmed yet.
