    Withdrawal of ATMIS forces from Somalia

    The operation of the African Union forces Atmis in Somalia has announced that their two thousand soldiers have left Somalia’s peace keeping forces.

    On the 30th of June, which was yesterday, those 2000 soldiers left Somalia.

    Also, on September 30 and December 30 this year, another 2,000 soldiers will be removed from Somalia.

    In general this year, it is planned to withdraw 6000 soldiers out of the 19000 soldiers of Atmis operation in Somalia.

    The bases vacated by the Atmis forces have been transferred to those prepared by the Central Government of Somalia.
