HAG NATIONAL HAWIYE STRATEGY (HAG)

Position regarding the Darod clan

Hawiye action Group seeks to effectively sideline the Darod clan by working with the central government by implementing certain political strategies. This includes but not limited to the empowerment of the Isaak and Rahanweyne clans, ensuring that Somalia’s federal presence stays largely in Mogadhishu, emphasizing the importance for the International community to directly deal with only the central government, working with Somaliland in containing the terrorist threat in eastern Somailand as well as providing limited federal funds to Darod regional administrations.
