Update

Report reaching from Amhara region indicates that TDF have taken over a strategic town of Chifra which is located in the border between Afar and Amhara region. Chifra town is only 100 km from Mile an important junction that connect the road between Djibouti and Ethiopia.

From Chifra TDF can proceed to Mile or Bati and Dessie. This new offensive could be a strategic maneuver to secure Dessie from all directions before waging the final takeover of Dessie and Kombolcha.

Reportedly, TDF secured Wegal Tena, Ambessel and Hayke areas and bulky of their forces are now surrounding Dessie and Kombolcha towns
