The Command of the Police Division of Nugal region has accused the Darawish army officers under the command of Gen. Jamaale Jama Takar attacked the police station in Israac of Puntland’s capital Garowe last night, which injured one person.
The Deputy Commander of Police in Nugal Region, Colonel Mohamud Muse Bile, said that the fight that took place at the Israac station came after police officers brought a young man to the station and beat him up. The police at the station refused and asked them to treat him first.
The soldiers of the Jimale army then started to threaten the police at the station, and opened fire on them. General Mohamud Bile noted that they talked to Gen. The soldiers who committed the act will be arrested on Friday.
